Jimmy The Rich writes that Gareth van Zyl sends out the aptly named After The Rain in the last race.

He produced a promising debut effort over 1200m on the polytrack.

He lost a length at the start, raced green but the manner in which he finished off his race was eye-catching.

Watch the grey run third at his first start:

The son of Master Of My Fate will love the rise to the mile and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.

Favour from the Dean Kannemeyer stable takes his place in Race 5. He finished 1.1 lengths behind Share Holder in his last start.

He is 4kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He is likely to settle near the rear of the field and will be mowing down the frontrunners in the run down to the line.

The false rail is set at 8m.
