Jimmy The Rich writes that Gainsford from the Vaughan Marshall stable takes his place in Race 6. He has cost himself at the start in his last two outings.

He lost a length coming out the gates last time, but the manner in which he finished off his race caught the eye.

The son of Gimmethegreenlight has won twice, finished second twice and third once from seven starts over this distance.

He takes a drop back in class this afternoon and if jumping on terms, he should take a power of beating.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Gary Rich sends out Clouds Of Witness in Race 7.

He showed very good signs of a form return in his last start over 2400m on this course.

He raced from a handy position that day and fought hard all the way to the line.

It is encouraging that 1.5kgs claiming apprentice Thabiso Gumede retains the ride and from his good draw of two, the combination may find themselves in the winner’s enclosure.

Jockey Collen Storey is not riding today.

The false rail is at 7,5m.

  • The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h40
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third race at 13h15
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 13h50
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h25
  • The second Jackpot starts in the sixth race at 15h00
