Jimmy The Rich writes that Shavout from the MJ Odendaal stable is the best bet on the card and the possible Pick 6 banker. He was his own worst enemy last time as he overraced in the early stages.

He moved up like a winner, but was outrun in the latter stages. He has won once and finished third once from as many starts on this course.

Trainer Wendy Whitehead saddles Teichman in Race 5. He finished 1.15 lengths behind Love The View last time.

He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He has won once, finished second three times and third twice from eight attempts over this distance. Warren Kennedy takes the ride from pole position and the son of Eightfold Path can return to winning ways.

Richard Fourie and Sherman Brown will not be riding today as they are medically indisposed.

The false rail  is at 7,5m.
