Jimmy The Rich writes that Paul Peter saddles Shangani in Race 3. He should have finished closer in his first run out the maidens, as he hung from the 400m mark.

The manner in which he won on debut was ultra-impressive.

The son of Soft Falling Rain tries the 2200m for the first time and on breeding, he should have no issues with the extra distance on offer. If keeping on a straight line, he should be the one to beat.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Stuart Pettigrew saddles Sea Ways in Race 8 and he represents decent each way value.

His last start can be ignored as he was reported to be not striding out. The manner in which he won his three previous outings was impressive.

The son of Ashaawes should strip a much fitter horse this afternoon and if jumping on terms, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Jabu Jacobs will not be riding at Turffontein today as he is riding at Hollywoodbets Greyville.

The false rail is at 6m on the back straight and bend with a 6m spur at the 500m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the second race at 13h35
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third race at 14h10
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 14h45
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 15h20
  • The second Jackpot starts in the sixth race at 15h55
