The Inquiry Board found Mr Jacobson guilty and imposed a suspension from riding in races for a period of seven days
The Inquiry Board found Mr Khathi guilty of the charge and ruled that he be suspended from riding in races for a period of twenty-one (21) days and, in addition, the Board has restricted his riding weight to 57.5kgs
Pleased with outcome of Tarry inquiry but he feels that there are unresolved issues – including a recipcrocal costs order Rule, which has not been introduced, despite undertakings to do so
The Inquiry Board found Jockey Webber guilty and after considering statements which were made post race by him regarding the interference, the Inquiry Board imposed a suspension from riding in races for a period of 21 days.
The Inquiry Board also dismissed the criticism that this inquiry was a ‘witch hunt’ and stated that the NHA, in furtherance of its objectives, was entitled, and indeed obliged, to investigate whether Mr Tarry had breached any Rules by recanting his evidence
The Inquiry Board found Mr Agrella guilty of the charge and after considering his blatant disregard for the authority of the Clerk of Scales, he was fined R1000
Trainer Binda was charged with a contravention of Rule 72.1.25 in that he misbehaved and conducted himself in an improper manner
When viewed against the relatively ‘softer’ fines imposed on other senior leading riders of the likes of Anton Marcus, Kevin Shea and Marthinus Mienie, for similar offences, it is hardly surprising that an appeal may be in the pipeline
Jockey Maujean pleaded not guilty to the charge, but was found guilty
