All eyes on Eastern Belle – Corne Spies and son Xander (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Jimmy The Rich writes that Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Corne Spies sends out Eastern Belle in Race 2.

She should have finished much closer in the Grade 3 Godolphin Barb Stakes last time as she was baulked for running room from the 500m mark to the 250m mark.

The daughter of Global View will love the step up to the 1400m. She is back against Maiden Company and with a bit of luck in running, should take a power of beating.

Successful Secret from the Brett Webber stable takes his place in the lucky last. His last two starts have been good.

He has won twice, finished second once and third once from seven starts over this course and distance.

The son of Judpot does not meet the strongest field and Gavin Lerena may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most.

Jarryd Penny will not be riding today as he in medically indisposed.

The false rail is at zero on the back straight, 5m on the bend with a 5m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h35
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h15
