Definitely Maybe Head To Racing Today

The Bipot starts in the first at 13h05

An eight-race programme is scheduled for the Vaal Classic track this afternoon.

Apprentice Rachel Venniker makes the trip up north once again and with five rides on the day, she has a couple of decent chances of winning.

The first is due off at 13h05.

Jimmy The Rich writes that the in-form stable of Mike de Kock saddles Definitely Maybe in Race 1 and she is the best bet on the card. The daughter of Silvano produced a promising debut effort over 1200m on this course.

She was green in running, but the manner in which she finished off her race was encouraging. She found plenty of betting support that day which suggests that she had been showing good work at home.

She would have come on with the run and should love the rise to the mile. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.

The Makwakkers from the Roy Magner yard represents decent each way value in Race 6. He stayed on nicely when finishing third over 1200m on the Turffontein Inside course last time.

It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since.

The step up in distance is a slight concern, but this is not a strong field and he can notch up career win number four.

Yuzae Ramzan will not be riding today due to flight complications.

The false rail is set at zero on the back straight and 12m on the bend with a 10.5m spur at the 600m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h05
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h40
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h15
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth at 14h50
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth at 15h25
