Feel The Rhythm Of The Rain Today

The Bipot starts in the first at 13h10

Racing takes place at Durbanville this afternoon and eight races are carded.

Grant van Niekerk has seven rides and may be the jockey worth following.

The first race is due off at 13h10.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Rhythm Of The Rain from the Harold Crawford and Michelle Rix stable is the best bet on the card and takes her place in Race 1.

She produced a promising debut effort over 1000m at Kenilworth. She was slow into stride but once finding her feet, she finished her race off well.

The daughter of Soft Falling Rain would have gained from the experience and should enjoy the extra distance on offer. With the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.

Brett Crawford saddles Field Of Vision in Race 4. She showed good improvement when finishing second over this distance at Kenilworth last time.

She was bumped at the start, but the manner in which he finished off her race was encouraging.

With a bit of luck in running, she is capable of shedding her maiden tag in this field.

Craig Zackey will not be riding today as he is medically indisposed. Aldo Domeyer will not be riding in races 1 & 3 today as he is medically indisposed.

The false rail is at 2,5m out on the back straight with a 3m spur at approximately the 550m mark.
