July:In The Know…Or In The No?

Do those in the know really know, or no?

Louis The King wins the Gr1 SA Classic at Turffontein on 2014-03-29

Geoff Woodruff’s Triple Crown winner Louis The King gets the majority vote

We all have an opinion of who the likely July winner will be and why. Are the three year olds as good as everyone says? Will the 16 horse field and the adjusted track configuration have any impact on the running?

Whatever angle you take to make your final call, the bottom line is that nobody really knows. There is so much science, ability and luck at play

From jockeys and trainers who have been there and done it, to folk who earn their living from the game and live, eat and sleep it, at the end of it all a little old lady who doesn’t know the head from the tail could dream it and beat the whole lot home.

We asked some well-known faces from across the racing spectrum to give us their winning selection for the big race.
