Aldo Domeyer rides Ragnar Lothbrok in Race 3 today (Pic- Chase Liebenberg)

Jimmy The Rich writes that Ragnar Lothbrok hails from the Piet Botha stable and takes his place in Race 3.

He has shown good improvement in each of his outings to date. He set the pace in his last start over 1400m, but found one too good in the form of Top Quality.

The son of Vercingetorix finished third in his penultimate effort over this course and distance.

He should strip a much fitter horse and with Aldo Domeyer retaining the ride, he should take a power of beating.

Double Charge from the Andre Nel stable may be the one to close off the meeting. He was unlucky last time as he was bumped at the 100m mark.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

He has finished second four times from six starts over this course and distance. Grant van Niekerk steps back into the saddle and he can go one better.
