Eight Gr1 winners are amongst the 40 strong nationally representative entry received on Wednesday for the R5 million Betway Gr1 Summer Cup to be run at Turffontein on 25 November 2023.
The entry for the 2023 renewal of the Highveld flagship event is headed by Johan Janse van Vuuren’s defending champion Puerto Manzano and Brett Crawford’s recent Hollywoodbets Durban July winner, Winchester Mansion.
Traditional Summer Cup heavyweights Mike de Kock and Sean Tarry have 14 entries between them, with De Kock no doubt hungry for success with a thirteen year break between drinks!
