The CTS Johannesburg Ready to Run Sale is to be held at the Inanda Club, Sandton, on Friday 31 October. The sale represents your very last chance to buy a potential runner in the 2015 R2.5m Ready To Run race. With 37 sires represented, it offers something for every taste and pocket.

Summerhill’s Freshman sire Visionaire is well represented by 23 lots from some highly credentialed mares.

A quick scan through the catalogue to whet the appetite:

# 78 is the only Western Winter in the catalogue and the last of his progeny. This is a colt from the family of multiple group one winner Yard Arm 

#143 is the only Warm White Night in the catalogue out of Red Dragon. The freshman sire was a sales topper at the recent Cape sale with his lot 20 going for R1,1milion, while he averaged R275 000 from his 8 lots 

#76 is by dual SA Horse Of The Year, Variety Club’s phenomenal sire, Var whose only progeny he is. The dam produced 8 x winner Go Indigo 

#146 is the only Trippi catalogued. Trippi produced the sales topper at the Lanzerac RTR with the R1.5m lot 2 and averaged over R400 000 from his 8 lots.

#125 is the only progeny of champion sire Silvano. She is a lovely filly from the family of Lostintranslation.

#108 is from the champion Australian sire Redoutes Choice, who has produced 24 Gr1 winners and stands in Australia for just under R1.1m. She is from the same family as 2 & 3 yo champion filly in Australia, Miss Finland.

#132 is a filly by twice champion Australian sire High Chaparral who stands for R600 000. This is a first foal out of the NZ mare Prime Choice, from the same family as HK multiple Gr1 winner Helen Vitality.

#82 is the chestnut filly by Champion Australian sire of 2012-13 and 2yo sire sensation Exceed and Excel, who stands for over R1million  and is the sire of 9 individual Gr1 winners.

#10 is the filly by Captain Al out of Scented Samantha, the dam of HK star Sweet Sanette and SA stakes winner Franny.

#28 is the colt by Rebel King out of Sweet Natasha, the dam of 8 to run, of which 5 have won – they include Princess Sassi and Secret Obsession.

#58 is a filly by new sire sensation Lateral and the dam is the mother of last season’s Gr1 winner Bilateral.

#67 is a filly by Kahal out of the smart mare Dancing Lady.

#70 is a filly by Parade Leader and hails from one of SA’s better female lines that include; Donatella, Della and Senor Versace

#73 is by new sire Bankable. The international winning sire is a colt out of multiple group one winning mare Discover Diamonds.

#75 is a half sister to the very smart The Elmo Effect and out of Dream Starling who has had 7 foals, all of whom are winners.

#90 is a filly by Visionaire from the same family as 3yo classic female Icy Air.  Lot 109’s 2nd dam is a sister to Holy Roman Emperor and Milanova.

#131 is a filly by Brave Tin Soldier. She is the first foal out of Precedent, the 7 times stakes winning mare.
