Fox Takes On Kasimir

Unbeaten Run Fox Run adds the spice

One of 36 runners from Justin Snaith’s yard on the big day, Equus champion sprinter Kasimir defends his crown in the R1 million Gr1 Cape Flying Championship at Kenilworth on Sun Met day.

The winner of the Gr1 Mercury Sprint at the end of last term, Richard Fourie’s mount has enjoyed a quiet prep with just one run under the belt this term.

The handsome looker was clearly in need of the run when fourth in a Pinnacle Stakes behind Chimichuri Run earlier this month.

Kasimir takes on the Australian-bred filly Run Fox Run, unbeaten in five starts and an impressive winner of the Gr2 Southern Cross Stakes at her last jump. This will be her first time up against the boys.
