Adams joins Kenilworth Racing board

The newly formed Kenilworth Racing company announced this afternoon that South African business personality Hassen Adams would join the Kenilworth Racing Board of Directors, once the necessary formalities have been completed.

Adams, a recognised and successful owner in the Western Cape has been an integral part of the sport’s transformation and is one of leading owners to win the coveted J&B Met with Past Master in 2011, and the L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate with Gimmethegreenlight in 2012.

Kenilworth Racing’s Chairman Chris van Niekerk welcomed Adam’s appointment to the board and commented “As we take Kenilworth Racing from strength to strength it is only fitting that the board is bolstered by the appointment of an individual of Hassen’s stature and experience”.

Adams who previously served on various racing boards commented:  “I am looking forward to ensuring that racing in the Western Cape remains as a key contributor to the sport as a whole”.

Adams was nominated by the Board of the Western Province Regional Racing Association.
