NHA: Roy Waugh Guilty

Pleaded not guilty

National Horseracing AuthorityThe National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 7 July 2015 adjourned and resumed on 15 October 2015, Assistant Trainer Mr P R S Waugh was charged with a contravention of Rule 72.1.25 in that he conducted himself in an improper manner by physically abusing an employee of Paul Lafferty Racing Stable at Scottsville Racecourse on 10 June 2015.

Mr Waugh pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Inquiry Board found Mr Waugh guilty as charged and imposed a fine of R7 500.00.

Mr Waugh has the right of appeal against both the finding and the penalty imposed.
