Maine Chance Farms’ exceptional young resident sire Querari was represented by his ninth individual first crop winner when Priceless Querari scored at Fairview on Friday.

Bred by the Botha family, Priceless Querari was produced by the Classic Flag mare Priceless Flag.

The gelding was having his third start when scoring a good win over the 1200m Maiden Plate. He gave the day’s most successful trainer and jockey – Yvette Bremner and Stallone Naidoo- the first leg of their individual respective doubles.

Querari has made an exceptional start to his stud career and currently ranks as South Africa’s second leading first crop sire by stakes.

The sire of champion sprinter Oasis Dream has already got three black type performers to his credit, a tally which includes the undefeated G2 The Debutante winner Cosmic Light, who won at Greyville on Saturday 18 July.

Out of the stakes winning Acatenango mare Quetena, the former G1 Premio Presidente Della Repubblica winning Querari is a half brother to Quasillo –one of the top ranked 3yos in Germany in 2015.
