Sibling Stars at Nationals

In what looks an exceptionally strong catalogue for the National Yearling Sales 2013 , a number of yearlings entered on the 2013 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale number G1 winners as siblings.

There are lots who feature as a sister/brother to G1 winner:

She is a half-sister to Capetown Noir, winner of this season’s G1 Cape Guineas/ Derby double. To date, Capetown Noir has earned over R1 100 000 in prize money.

 

Lot 286 Mogok – Apache Rose filly

She is a full sister to Equus Champion, The Apache, who was second in the recent Gr1 Dubai Duty Free. He earned over R1 900 000 in South Africa alone!

 

Lot 331 Right Approach – Cathay Firth colt

He is a half-brother to former Equus Champion 2yo, and sire, Kildonan. The latter captured or placed in four G1 races, and earned over R870 000 in prize money.

 

Lot 349 Fort Wood – Copper Horizon colt

The colt is a half-brother to former Gr1 Golden Horseshoe winner Copper Parade, who has earned over R800 000 thus far in his career.

He is a half-brother to Gr1 Gold Cup winner Diamond Quest, who won over R1 100 000 during his illustrious career.

 

Lot 402 Western Winter – First Arrival colt

The colt is a half-brother to champion Let’s Rock ‘N Roll, winner of the G1 Golden Horse Casino Sprint. Let’s Rock ‘N Roll won over R670 000 on the racetrack.

 

Lot 438 Fort Wood – Gypsy Queen filly

This filly is a half-sister to Gypsy’s Warning, who won G1 races in South Africa (Thekwini Stakes, SA Fillies Classic) and North America (Matriarch Stakes).

 

Lot 453 Argonaut – Hunter’s Glen filly

She is a half-sister to G1 winner Ivory Trail, who beat Pocket Power when he won the G1 Champions Cup.

 

Lot 494 Right Approach – Kentucky Lass filly

The filly on sale, is a half-sister to former Gr1 Champions Cup hero African Appeal.

 

Lot 520 Fort Wood – Lightning Duel colt

Lot 521 Sail From Seattle – Lightning Sands colt

The colt is a half-brother to G1 winner Silver Arc, who won the Allan Robertson Fillies Championship and over R300 000 in prize money.

He is a full brother to Spiced Gold, winner of the Gr1 SA Fillies Classic.

 

Lot 8 Fort Wood – Make A Million filly

This colt is a full brother to the well performed Jackson. The latter, winner of both the Gr1 Cape Derby and Gr1 Daily News 2000, has earned over R1 500 000 in his career thus far.

She is a half-sister to G1 Champions Cup winner Master Plan, who has won over R890 000 during his career.
