Silver Salmon Could Sink Them

The Bipot starts in the first at 13h10

An eight-race programme is set to take place at the Country Course, Durbanville this afternoon.

The main event on the day is the Non-Black Type GG Gaming Klawervlei Farm Sale Graduate race.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 13h10.

Jimmy The Rich Silver writes that Silver Salmon from the Glen Kotzen yard looks to be the Place Accumulator banker in the first leg.

He produced an eye-catching debut effort over this distance at Kenilworth, six weeks ago.

Despite jumping outwards at the start, he showed good pace before getting caught in the shadow of the post.

It must be noted that Cosmic Highway has come out and won a Gr3 since. The son of Soft Falling Rain would have gained from the experience and can go one better here.

Andre Nel saddles O Sole Mio in the last race on the programme. Her last two starts in PE have been good.

She showed signs of needing her last outing as she set the pace and lacked extra in the latter stages.

She has finished second in both her efforts on this course. The 5yo mare should strip a much fitter horse today and can notch up her third career victory.

Luke Ferraris is not riding as he is medically indisposed.

The false rail is 2m out on the back straight, with a 3m spur at approximately the 550m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 13h10
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h45
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 14h25
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 15h00
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h35
