July – Time To Cue The Music!

Music bonanza on Vodacom Durban July Day

Racegoers attending the Vodacom Durban July at Greyville on Saturday 7 July can look forward to the added bonus of a musical bonanza in the late afternoon and into the evening that will add a new dimension to their raceday enjoyment.

The Distruction Boyz will be performing

The Galaxy Stage, powered by Samsung and Hunter’s Extreme, at the Lakes Lifestyle Village on the golf course will play host to a stellar line-up of stars including the Durban duo the Distruction Boyz, whose Gqom sound has swept them to popularity nationwide, SAMA Winner of Best Pop Album Tresor Riziki, DJ Tira and SAMA Winner Lady Zamar.

“These headline music acts will be available free to every race-goer on a public stage and add huge value to the R220 entrance ticket holder’s raceday experience,” said Gold Circle’s Event Marketing manager Ken Tweddell.

As an event that is heavily focussed on everything that is good about Durban, it is exciting to see the music elements spotlighting top Durban based acts like the Distruction Boyz and Tresor,” he added.

The music will be anchored by popular MC ProVerb and will start with a performance by DJ Bashkar at 2:30pm, and will be followed by more big acts on stage between each race on the card after the main race.

Also on the bill will be 5FM DJ IAMPH, DJ Bhashkar Lee, Rocksilver Ezase and the whole Afrotainment crew featuring DJ Tira, Tresor Riziki, the Distruction Boyz, and Dladla Mshunqisi with dancers Slenda and Ornica.
