Hooves Of Troy Can Win Today

First off at 12h50

The withdrawal of the unbeaten Viking Moon from today’s Dahlia Plate at Fairview has thrown the race wide open.

The Gavin Smith-trained East Cape Nursery runner-up Hooves Of Troy now looks to have a big shout of giving Muzi Yeni a feature success at just his second meeting back after a short injury break.

Muzi rode a winner at the Vaal yesterday and now leads the national log, two winners ahead of Lyle Hewitson.

The battle between him and Hewitson is hotting up and could develop into an exciting tussle.

There are eight races on the turf today, with the first and Bipot opener starting at 12h40.

The false rail is set at 6m to the 1200m mark, increasing to 6,5m to the 800m mark with a 6.5m spur.
