Jimmy The Rich writes that trainer Justin Snaith saddles Silver Darling in Race 2 and she is the best bet on the card.

She showed very good improvement when finishing second over 1250m at Durbanville last time. She lost a length at the start, but the manner in which she ran on was eye-catching.

The daughter of Silvano will be at home over the mile and if jumping on terms, she should take a power of beating.

Anecdote from the Lucinda Woodruff yard takes his place in Race 7. He has good recent form lines to his credit.

He finished 1.25 lengths behind Alingalonga last time.

He is 2.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he should be competitive and can give SA’s newest lady trainer her maiden career winner!

Grant van Niekerk, Keanen Steyn & Greg Cheyne will not be riding today with stipes permission. Craig Bantam will not be riding as he is medically indisposed.

The winter course false rail is 4m out from the 1700m mark with a 4m spur at the 470m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 12h40
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 13h15
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 13h50
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth race at 14h25
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth race at 15h05
