Candice Is Waiting For Summer

The Bipot starts in the first at 12h05

Racing returns to Kenilworth Racecourse this afternoon and eight races are carded.

It is an early start to the day with the first due off at 12h05 and the lucky last is set for 16h10.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Candice Bass-Robinson saddles Waiting For Summer in Race 5. He ran a good race in his comeback run behind the highly rated, Trip Of Fortune.

The manner in which he stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. The son of Noble Tune has won his only attempt over this course and distance.

He should strip a much fitter horse and on his Handicap debut, he should be the one to side with.

Ballroom Bliss can give the combination of Candice Bass-Robinson and Aldo Domeyer a good end to the day in Race 7.

She should have finished closer to the winner last time as she hung in the final 200m.

The daughter of Twice Over takes a slight drop in class and should be cherry-ripe. From her good draw of four, she can return to winning ways.

Robert Khathi will not be riding today as he is medically indisposed.

The winter course false rail is set at its original position with a 2m spur at the 470m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first at 12h05
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second at 12h35
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third at 13h05
  • Jackpot 1 starts in the fourth at 13h40
  • Jackpot 2 starts in the fifth at 14h20
